Welcome to our website and our first blog. We are new to this online activity so please bear with us while we get everything setup.
I thought it would make sense to start at the beginning and cover how All Things Nice Food came into existence. It started back in 2009 with a jar of Blueberry Preserve from a well know Edinburgh store. It was fantastic but cost over £5 for a small jar. Elizabeth decided she could do better herself and embarked upon perfecting recipes. At this stage there was no plan to sell to anyone. However, there was a limit to how much Paul could eat and the feedback from friends and family was fantastic so we thought we would give it a go.
We started selling at craft markets and school fairs and gradually sales increased as word of mouth spread. In 2014 we took up a regular pitch at Partick Famer's Market in Glasgow (2nd and 4th Saturday of the month) and now we are moving online.
It's been an adventure with some commercial mistakes along the way, but we have stuck to our principles of only making and selling the finest produce that we can. We could probably make more money in reducing the quality but that is not why we do this.
